Executive Chef Richard T. Schrimp


 

Richard has been in the food service industry for 30 years. A graduate of New York Institute of Technology with a degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality with honors.

 

Richard is a New York State Licensed Culinary Arts Instructor at the Culinary Academy of Long Island in Syosset, New York since 1997. He has worked as Chef de Cuisine, Private Chef and Executive Chef in and around Metropolitan New York area and Long Island, New York.

 

Chef/Owner of Bella Skye Culinary Kitchens: Craft Service and Catering for the Movie and Television Industry. 

 

Owner of Bella Skye Culinary Consultants: National Certified Serv-Safe and HACCP Instruction, Secret shopper service to the food service and hospitality industry.

 

Has appeared as a guest chef on TeleCare Television Real Food Cooking Show.

Culinary Technical Adviser on set for Terra Multi Media and Delmar Publishing for “Baking DVD Instructional Baking” Videos.

 

Richard has written, contributed and appeared in Distinction Magazine, presenting article on “Preparing authentic Mayan Hot Chocolate using Chilies and Cocoa Beans”,

House and Garden Magazine: Article on “Cooking with Fresh Herbs of the Seasons”, and Exclusively Gourmet Magazine Front Cover featuring “Culinary Instructors of Long Island”.

   

He has had the privilege to cook for several celebrities including Carol and Alec Baldwin, Patrick Rafter, Andre Agassi, Murphy and Luke Jansen, Ken Grimbal (News 12).

He has had the honor of providing culinary services to the tennis players,  VIP Corporate sponsors and the news media at the Hamlet Cup, a major tennis event which was held in Commack Long Island. for the Hamlet Cup.

                                                                   

He has sat on The Board of Directors for the American Culinary Federation on Long Island.  Richard has received the American Culinary Federation Culinary Achievement Award for 1999 and 2000, several awards from the ACF for the local chapter and the Northeast Region. And a Silver and Bronze medal for food competitions at the Hotel and Restaurant Show in New York.

 

Richard is very focused on giving back to his community and volunteers his time for Island Harvest, Ritt Foundation, Cerebral Palsy Association and American Diabetes Foundation.
